alex2155 Posted April 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2016 I apologize if there is already an answer to this question somewhere on this board, I couldn't find it. We are currently set for 8:30 traditional dining. I would like to change to Select. Do I have to call? I tried changing online, but I can't find where to do it. I was only able to view my dinner time, but wasn't able to change it.
PRH Posted April 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2016 We were able to change on-board soon after we boarded. Go to the mdr desk.
az_tchr Posted April 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Who did you book your cruise thru? If Celebrity you can call them. If through a TA dining can only be changed by you calling the TA.

loosygoosy Posted April 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2016 You can change if they still have space (limited availability ) and you will have to prepay your gratuities. Call the person you booked through.
sunpsyche Posted April 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2016 You no longer have to prepay gratuities.
gabbygrrl Posted April 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2016 We have "traditional" dining booked for the early seating on an upcoming Summit cruise. Having read that the tables for 2 are very close together, would the seating style change if we switched over to Select dining once on board? I believe I read that they use two different sections of the dining room and the Select area has tables for 2 that are more "isolated" along the railing. Is that correct? I believe I read that they use two different sections of the dining room and the Select area has tables for 2 that are more "isolated" along the railing. Is that correct? That used to be correct however in the recent drydock Celebrity switched the Select Dining area to the lower level of the dining room and fixed seating is now upstairs. We were on the Summit for a b2b prior to drydock and enjoyed the 2 tops along the railing. Even when seated on a 2 top close to another table we never had an issue with neighbouring diners...you can usually tell if the other couple wants to engage in conversation or not and go from there. Enjoy your cruise!
