PreCruise Stay

We are cruising out of FLL in Oct on Allure. We would like to do 2 nights in Florida prior to Cruise. Questions..

 

1. Is the area around FLL nicer, or Miami?

2. Any nice hotel suggestions for a 5 star luxury?

Since you are sailing out of Fort Lauderdale I would do the pre cruise stay there.

 

If you want five star luxury then stay at the Ritz Carlton. We stayed there this past January.

You could also stay at the Diplomat Resort and Spa at 3555 S Ocean Drive in Hollywood FL. It is only about 15 minutes drive from Port Everglades. It is very nice and 5 star right on the beach.

 

We have stayed there several times and really enjoyed it the beach and the great pools.

Fort Lauderdale and Miami are both nice, but Miami is a bit wilder and Ft Laud is more laid back.

 

The fanciest hotels in Ft Lauderdale are:

Ritz Carlton

Marriott Harbor Beach (has the largest pool and walks onto the beach)

W (oceanfront corner rooms are fabulous)

Atlantic

 

Also not too far away:

Diplomat (Hollywood beach, south of Ft Lauderdale)

Boca Raton Resort Hotel (beach building)
