GMRPHRN Posted April 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2016 I searched high and low to find this info so I thought I would share it in a post with a good title. Fax Guest Services Admin Supervisor at 1-305-406-6102 Include booking number, sail date & Ship, and a brokerage statement showing the CCL shares. I requested this on my upcoming cruise. I got a response back by email letting me know that I did not qualify because I had received promotional credit at booking. :( Oh, well. More future cruises are on the horizon. 2Shoes2Go Posted April 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2016 What kind of promotional credit? We have always been able to get OBC for our bookings, even with bonus credits. Just submitted for our next 5 reservations, two days ago.
GMRPHRN Posted April 27, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted April 27, 2016 From Carnival: Thank you for providing us with your shareholder verification in order to process your on board credit. However I am unable to apply the credit. The benefit is not applicable to reduced / complimentary promotions. Therefore no credit has been applied. I assumed it was for the $50 OBC I received when booking. I think we got a good rate, also. Do you think I should challenge this in some way? 2Shoes2Go Posted April 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Maybe they have changed the program. For our two bookings, cruised in January, we had additional ES bonus offers and we were still able to add stock credit. The five I just submitted includes one that has $50 additional for their ES bonus offer. I'll see what happens. The cruise we have booked for May, we received $50 for ES bonus and they also gave stock credit. May be a very recent change. Many ES offers we have taken, in the past, included bonuses. I can let you know what happens with my submission.
PAPERBKWRITER Posted April 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Anyone know if Carnival accepts email submissions for the owners credit? Don't have access to a fax machine. In the past I always mailed it.
2Shoes2Go Posted April 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Forgot to add: I have read that special Pack and Play or Casino Rates do not qualify for stock credit. Of course, those likely can't receive OBC for on board booking either. Not certain; don't do casino.

TM&K Posted April 27, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) We booked on board for our upcoming May cruise and received $100 credit and we were given the stock holders credit as well. This may be a recent change I submitted for the credit Feb. 12th and never received an email. The credit just appeared on my documents. I send my request by email: specialprograms@carnival.com Edited April 27, 2016 by TM&K
65stang Posted April 27, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Not to sound out of touch but I have a couple of questions that I hope you would be willing to answer. Is there a minimum number of shares you need to won to get this benefit? What is the average OBC that you get for this benefit? Thank you in advance. I wonder if that means they are discontinuing it or if they constantly update this document I've been a shareholder for more than a decade, they update every year. The OBC amounts have never changed. It's a smart benefit to offer because the average cost to the corporation is much lower than the amount you are granted (and it gets you on cruises!). cruisealot Posted April 28, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 28, 2016 I just got confirmation my shareholder credit was processed for my cruise on May 8th. It took me several calls and emails after my initial request was made. I've had the same problem two years in a row. After submitting my request I get the response from Carnival that my shareholder form wasn't legible. On one of my calls regarding this I found out they scan the document into their system. I'm surprised they had the same issue two years in a row. I got the direct email of one of the employee's, scanned the document myself and emailed it to her. Within 15 minutes of doing this I had the credit in my account. I also got an on board credit when I purchased my cruise and had no problem getting my share holder credit. There is absolutely nothing in their own guidelines that disqualify you from the credit. Go after it. I think the possibly well meaning employee is reading the fact that you can only have one SHAREHOLDER credit per stateroom is applying it to mean only one credit of any type.
