weather question

Go to one of the many weather forecast sites and just type in a variety of coastal town selection along the way. You should be able to get a good idea of expected weather for the entire route, or as another said, the expected weather on shore for the route.

NOAA has marine forecast, for example, here's Wilmington, SC - http://www.weather.gov/ilm/marine

Up to 250 NM offshore - http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/marine/zone/off/offnt2mz.htm

Oceanweather.com/data has graphical charts of wave conditions - arrows on the graph indicate the flow direction
