TV reception in the South Pacific

For those on the current Westerdam cruise, are you getting TV news reception? I am unfamiliar with satellites and do not know if the same ones control TV and internet. Thanks

We took the Rotterdam cruise to Tahiti a couple of years ago and as I recall we had the same TV stations as are offered on other cruises. I don't think they use the same satellite for TV and Internet, but am not positive.

We are getting news stations here on the Westerdam. We are getting Fox and BCC news. A couple of stations are not there due to reception so not sure if those would have CNN or not.

You get pretty much the same as on other cruises in the NA area (Caribbean, Panama, Alaska), except at times you don't get reception at all for some stations. This is very common on trans-ocean cruises.
