tncruisergurl Posted May 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2016 We would like to take our grand daughter with us, she will be 22 months at the time of our cruise. Do you pay full price for them?
Purvis1231 Posted May 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2016 If the baby is the 3rd person in the cabin then there is a reduced rate.
amyh13 Posted May 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2016 There is no child's pricing. Just 3rd/4th guest pricing. She could be 22 or 22 months. Same price. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
cb at sea Posted May 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2016 She's a "soul"...same price as any other person...3rd and 4th in a cabin cost less than the first 2 people
SadieN Posted May 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2016 You're buying a seat in the life boat. All get charged a fare, no matter their age. Some lines will do a 'third sails free' promo but those are rarely bargains when looking at the bottom line. vwrestler171 Posted May 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2016 Remember when looking at Carnivals website, they will average out the fare between the number of people onboard so it may look like your childs fare is as much as yours. When you get to the end of the booking, it will be broken down into the correct fares.
DallasGuy75219 Posted May 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 3, 2016 The only break is that gratuities aren't (by Carnival's policy) expected to be paid for children under two years old. Let the arguing commence as to whether they should actually pay higher gratuities if they make bigger messes....

Ours will be about 10 months when we sail. 3rd/4th passenger was less than half our cost and saves us $84 in gratuities. That's reduced enough for me. cherbear4000 Posted May 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 3, 2016 For our upcoming July cruise, it actually costs more per person for the 3 person cabins than the 2 person cabins. Passengers 1 and 2 in the 3 person cabins are more expensive than for the 2 person cabins so the 3rd person discount is false on our sailing. We were told high demand for 3 person cabins equals higher prices.

We've booked two doubles because a quad cabin was more expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

We were told high demand for 3 person cabins equals higher prices. You beat me to it. In peak times it is sometimes more expensive to have 3 people in a cabin. That is usually not the case but it can happen. The rate for a 4th person can also be different than the rate for a 3rd person, so you just never know. For example if you have 6 people it may be cheaper to book a cabin of 4 and a cabin of 2 instead of both cabins for 3. If it's just 3 of you, then there isn't much choice.
