Hello and pls forgive me I'm typing this from my small phone lol. We are on epic may 18th Rome and our stop in Monaco 20th that we wanted to do the ship said is cancelled because of time issues with the grand prix and connot possibly get us back on time. It was $114 per person with food tour and guide 8 hrs. They said they have a Monaco on your own for $100 a person they just pick you up and drop you off I think it's a complete rip off. I have contacted another operator from who we booked our cruise with and am looking into transportation from pier to Monaco for up to 6 people there is me my wife and son. That leaves 3 spots open if it's cost effective when they get back to me is any one else interested. Tks

I would agree that the Roll Call would be a better place to make this request. However I think you should also be asking - perhaps in the Ports of Call forum whether or not it is a good idea to visit Monaco when the Grand Prix is on. If the ship tour is advising you that you cannot get back in time, maybe that is because they have experience of the Grand Prix traffic chaos.

The only positive if you do still consider a DIY tour is that the next stop is Marseilles and it is not exactly hard to get to Marseilles from Monaco by train if the traffic should become an issue.

The ship is offering the same that I am asking they want $100 usa a person to pick you up and drop you off and back again no tour when the tour was $114 and you get more. I am looking at going at 9 am pick and back at the ship by 330 pm I'd I can get it cheaper am wondering if any one else would like to come. The grand prix is the 26th of may we arrive on the 20th.

When we docked in Monaco on the Jade, we walked up to the royal residence and the Grace Kelly Park. If you like to walk, it's a nice way to see something other than the mad house that will be Monaco around the casino area.

If it is same itinerary as last year's and your port is Cannes, the guys in our group took a train to Monaco. There was a practice run going on that day. I remember on our roll call someone was looking to share a ride like you are suggesting. So perhaps post your request there.
