deborahjo Posted May 21, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted May 21, 2016 I haven't been overly bothered by kids on our cruises, though I would very be interested in adults-only cruising. I'd be even more interested to see 100% non-smoking cruises! Me to.
louanne93 Posted May 21, 2016 #27 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Not really, drunk adults bother me a lot more than any children I have ever encountered. AMEN!! That is exactly how I feel. The serenity area was not so serene when watching live drunk porno in the hot tubs! Lol! I would take the Dr. Suess parade any day!! The kids on our ship were so polite and well behaved. It was refreshing to see young teens dancing and having a great time as opposed to the nasty drunks.
golfb4cruzing Posted May 21, 2016 #28 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Would you sail on an adult only cruise? We cruise April and October because there are fewer kids. My choice. Don't flame me. I would love to see a 7 or 8 day cruise just for adults. Wonder if Carnival would consider this option several times a year? We cruise the same months for the same reason. If parents were parents, I wouldn't care but it's a catch and release on Carnival these days.
makeda Posted May 21, 2016 #29 Share Posted May 21, 2016 I would not bother with a smoke-free, kid-free cruise...I love to cruise to meet and watch all types of people; if I had all those problems with smokers and kids, I would stay home orm find a vacation that "catered" to my specific needs and stop complaining about the cruiseline; drunk adults are a bigger problem and funnier, too! jocap Posted May 23, 2016 #30 Share Posted May 23, 2016 Our October HI cruise had around 20 under 18. Practically childless. Is it P&O that has adult only ships? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Yes, some P&O ships are adult only, as are Cruise& Maritime and Saga.
Smart Arsenal Fan Posted May 23, 2016 #31 Share Posted May 23, 2016 There's some adult only charters available... I believe the nude cruises are adult only. :D And I bet there's less smokers on them as they have nowhere to keep their lighters.
ncshp955 Posted May 23, 2016 #32 Share Posted May 23, 2016 I also would love a non-smoking cruise. For the most part children have not been an issue and just people watching the adults who might have had just a touch to much to drink can be a lot of fun especially when they are retuning from ports. tlw440 Posted May 23, 2016 #33 Share Posted May 23, 2016 I haven't been overly bothered by kids on our cruises, though I would very be interested in adults-only cruising. I'd be even more interested to see 100% non-smoking cruises! Our first 3 cruises were on the Smoke-Free Paradise and we loved it, wish they still had one that was smoke free. Micahs Grandad Posted May 23, 2016 #34 Share Posted May 23, 2016 People regularly ask for this on his fb page and JH always says no they are a family oriented cruise line. Only thing to do is cruise when kids are normally in school. We dont cruise in the summer months as the Caribbean is too warm for us but in other months never had problems with kids on the ship. More concerned about seniors in scooters who think they get points for running over your toes.
Fern Crest Posted May 24, 2016 #35 Share Posted May 24, 2016 We cruised on the Paradise on her last smoke-free cruise, it was fantastic! Since then, we just keep away from the casino, since DD has severe asthma. Smoke and even the stuff from the vape pens cause a reaction so bad we carry a couple of Epi-pens at all times. It's been dicey more than a few times. Side story: we were at a mall in St Petersburg FL recently, and had to move quickly when a young man started puffing on a vape pen in the food court. We got SUCH dirty looks from him and his friends! We didn't make a fuss, we didn't say anything, we just moved. Touchy people will be touchy, I guess.
