Squigmond Posted May 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Looking for information from those who have been on the Viking Star with cabins on deck 3. Looking to find out if there is much noise from Deck 2....... the restaurant in the back or the theater in the front. If there is noise can you please specify if it is early, late or both. Thank you in advance.

Ontario/AZ Posted May 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Thank you. Was your cabin above the theater? Was it a V1 cabin or a DV6? We were in cabin 3029, a DV6. Nice because we took the stairs all the time and we were close to them. With all the food available, we needed that extra walking. It was a marvelous trip and we have been on a few. amyr Posted May 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 8, 2016 We were in 3076 and it was very quiet. That was a standard verandah cabin on the port side, aft of the aft stairs.

roothy123 Posted May 9, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) We were in 3024 and didn't hear a thing. I did read that a few people up toward the front of the ship (Veranda category) heard music from the theater. deec Posted May 9, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I have read that there maybe some noise in the very forward cabins. We are on the Sky next spring and are WAY forward hoping that the theater does not stay open very late!
roothy123 Posted May 9, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I have read that there maybe some noise in the very forward cabins. We are on the Sky next spring and are WAY forward hoping that the theater does not stay open very late! The shows don't run late and I don't even remember them being every night, although they may have been! Of course, they DO have rehearsals sometimes - apparently in the afternoon. If you're far forward on 3, you're probably in a Veranda room. If so, and you hear things, just remind yourself that you didn't pay as much for your room as the people with completely soundproof rooms, so it's OK! msbhaven1974 Posted May 9, 2016 #14 Share Posted May 9, 2016 We were in 3013 and never heard a thing from anything on deck 2 - My cabin mate was pretty ill most of the trip and was in the cabin 75% of the entire trip and never heard anything
huntersyaya Posted May 10, 2016 #15 Share Posted May 10, 2016 I think we were right above the theater and we heard nothing/nada/zero. It was a great trip and the boat is wonderful!
