Going down the gangway, we saw Elliot with his parents. He still had his conductor's hat. He told us he was going to ride the train today (the Link light rail). Mom said that at home they would find tape to fix the hat. We said goodbye to Elliot and his family.

#55worktoplay Posted May 17, 2016 #56 Share Posted May 17, 2016 yes. The Jewel did a Los Angeles to Vancouver leg, then did a 1 night Vancouver to Seattle. It then started its Alaska roundtrips from Seattle. Oh my goodness that was a tease, they would have to drag me off screaming and kicking. I am sure your friends can't wait to go on another! What did they think? I have yet to go on NCL but I am sure it will be on the agenda one of these days. Thanks for the review. Are you going to do one for your Alaska cruise? shadowmeboy Posted May 17, 2016 Author #70 Share Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) John Nordstrom, after returning from the Klondike, started a small shoe company, which has grown into the Nordstrom's Department Stores. We all loved this National Park, and wish I had visited prior to my two other visits to Alaska. I am looking forward to visiting the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park in Skagway! If you have the time make sure to visit this museum especially before cruising to Alaska. Edited May 17, 2016 by shadowmeboy
shadowmeboy Posted May 17, 2016 Author #71 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Amtrak was great at helping people get to where they needed to go. It wasn't their fault, but they went above and beyond! NCL Customer Service was great. They were letting the ship know what was going on which was one of the reasons we made it. Starline Coaches out of Seattle delivered us to the cruise terminal and the driver was excellent. Yes, If we could have been to Vancouver a day earlier, I would have. Unfortunately, I could not be. The Jewel was amazing, and I want to sail her longer! Thank you for all those who read this review, responded, and will respond. I appreciate you taking the time to read my thoughts. rayness Posted May 17, 2016 #73 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Oh wow this was a great trip. Making me less sad about moving away from Florida. Plus I have a ton of family in Seattle so I can visit them and go on a cruise. I love the fact that the ship won't be crowded too.

I could have spent a lot longer in there, because I would have gone through and followed the journey of all five people. It Leaves something for me to do in the future. I love sailing in and out of Vancouver and Seattle. Both are so pretty! I also can't wait for Alaska in about a month!
