Hard Rock Hollywood Fl

Hi everyone . I'm already booked at the 17th street Embassy Suites pre cruise

for late August 2016. I love the location and the free booze there., plus I can hit up Marshalls and Ross.. The pool is nice too.

Due to a trip I have at Hard Rock Cancun I will have "enough points" to stay free there . ( rock rewards credits ). In fact I will earn something like enough stays for 3 nights at their properties .

Is there shops nearby? Buses? How far to Port Everglades? Is the pool good ?

Post cruise I have a value trip room at Hyatt ( and I have gift cards I got from Amex points so a free stay) . Free is good.

I'm really thrifty.....Okay freaking cheap., and another free room sounds good but not if it's far from port and a taxi will cost big bucks.

The casino is in Hollywood, not Fort Lauderdale. Maybe 10 miles from the port. A glance at google will locate for you.

Depending on traffic I'd guess around $30 cab ride to port. It's been awhile since we did a Hollywood stay. You can find a cab estimate online too.

I would absolutely book that Hard Rock Hotel room. There is so much fantastic stuff there (pool, dining, entertainment, shopping, etc) there is no reason to leave the resort.

You can Uber to the resort from FLL and to the port. It should be about half the price of a cab.

You can explore Fort Lauderdale on your post cruise trip.

Thanks everyone . Looks like this might work ., even with the higher cab fare and meal costs! If nothing else all the extras would equal my Embassy rate.

Hopefully they have a store that sells Lays and Doritos. Gotta have my salty snacks onboard[emoji106]

Let us know if they accept your points for a free room.

I used to stay there on weekday nights using her casino points, due to my neighbor plunging her brains out there.

Now they have become difficult to give out free bees.

This isn't a casino point offer. It's a loyalty offer. If you stay at certain properties you earn points for a future free stay.

1.00 = 10 points.

My upcoming Cancun stay is $7,000. So I'll have 70,000 points. The free rooms are all different points.. Chicago is 20,000..Hollywood is 30,000.

So I was thinking 2 nights in Chicago this fall and 1 night in Florida... Or saving them for a trip to Orlando ( gotta check the expiration ) .

My 2 cents, I have stayed at both the Hard Rock and Embassy, Hard Rock is so much better. Pool, rooms, etc all heads above. Not much near by, but a short cab or Uber ride down Stirling Rd to just east of Rt. 95 will put you in a shopping area that should fit your needs. As someone mentioned the port is not that far away, again cab it or Uber it.
