Power plugs USA or European

A transformer steps the voltage up or down, but the plug is what fits your appliance into the socket. You need to make sure what's on your appliance fits.

Also, here in the US a lot of handheld appliances like hair straighteners or curling irons have dual voltage. Check carefully and you might see a little switch marked 110 and 220.

We were on Oasis in March and my straighteners wouldn't work ..... Thought it was a voltage problem being from the UK. Iam a correct in thinking if I had used the European outlet they would have worked.... Sailing Harmony in Med in October

Yes, the Euro outlet has the same voltage as the UK uses.
