Riley's Mom Posted June 8, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Thank you for the replies. Holy Moly! 20 minute tender ride. Let's hope the tender boats are covered and comfy! Thank you,
cruiseonthebrain Posted June 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Belize- and I remember the tender being really really hot and crowded. We definitely didn't leave the ship more than once in that port :-)
Doggielover68 Posted June 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2016 I recall the ship staff saying that the ship docks 5 miles from the port in Belize. I didn't pay attention to how long it took but 20 minutes sounds about right. I actually enjoyed the ride :) Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Really, really rough seas.
originalgeek Posted June 8, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2016 is it wrong that I misread the thread title and now I'm sad this isn't all about tender parts? of course, if the ride to Belize is in rough weather there still could be some tender parts... BigB0882 Posted June 8, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Belize was the first tender port I ever had and I didn't realize how long it was until last week when we were in Grand Cayman and we were so close that I could have swam if I wanted to. I would not say Belize took 20 minutes but maybe closer to 10.
lizzyplague Posted June 9, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 9, 2016 I don't recall Belize being that long.. Maybe 10 minutes or so. Grand Cayman was very long when we went in '13. It was definitely closer to 20 minutes. Maybe it's where the ships docked at that time, though.

Here is a pic looking back at the ship from the shore.

We are not snorklers so after we did cave tubing (and it was fun) never found much else to do but take a ride to shore, walk around a bit and go back. they have a zoo but like the zoos in the US better.
