Is Belize or Roatan tendering ports?

I can't for the life of me remember.

Just Belize. And it's a long ride to shore.

Belize- and I remember the tender being really really hot and crowded. We definitely didn't leave the ship more than once in that port :-)

I recall the ship staff saying that the ship docks 5 miles from the port in Belize. I didn't pay attention to how long it took but 20 minutes sounds about right. I actually enjoyed the ride :)

A few years ago, we enjoyed the tender ride from the ship to shore. Howeve, the ride back was totally different. Really, really rough seas.

Belize was the first tender port I ever had and I didn't realize how long it was until last week when we were in Grand Cayman and we were so close that I could have swam if I wanted to. I would not say Belize took 20 minutes but maybe closer to 10.

Grand Cayman was very long when we went in '13. It was definitely closer to 20 minutes.

 

Maybe it's where the ships docked at that time, though.

Belize was definitely the longest and it was a rough ride. Here is a pic looking back at the ship from the shore.

I'm actually a fan of Belize. I hope to make it back there soon.

 

We are not snorklers so after we did cave tubing (and it was fun) never found much else to do but take a ride to shore, walk around a bit and go back.

 

they have a zoo but like the zoos in the US better.
