Bell Boy Posted July 10, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Martha was a very dear friend and I knew she was ailing but did not know it was that serious . One one of her visits to us in Tucson we went shopping for all items "pink" for one of her pink parties. She was a hoot and a half. Everything I learned about Seabourn I learned Seabourn's Ambassador from Texas. Sweet dreams Miss Pinkie. Sailor Boy and I pray there is a Seabourn in heaven on which you can endlessly cruise. Yes here's to Martha ! I first encountered Martha on a crossing shortly after my Mother's passing. As a solo, She (and Mrs W) took me under their wing. It was on the trip of her "I've Tickled the Pride Pink"..... I hadn't packed anything Pink appropriate, However, she insisted of lending me a Pink T shirt to wear during the day and a badge, she gave out to everyone ( our American cousins call it a button) "I've Tickled the Pride Pink" In the evening I was delighted to be a guest at a table she was also sharing... she insisted I ordered the chicken dish, which was accompanied by rice .... I wasn't too keen at first ...However, when the meal arrived ...the Rice was coloured PINK:D.... later over coffee everyone enjoyed M&M's, but only special ones in Pink . Chairsin Posted July 11, 2016 #27 Share Posted July 11, 2016 Bell Boy, I am sure Martha would be tickled pink that you have such fond memories of her and her entertaining. She was one of a kind.
