Hi all fellow cruise members,

We are booked on a three week Australia and New Zealand cruise ( Emerald Princess) next November, staying in a full suite. We are also "Elite" captain circle status passengers.

Are we entitled to free wifi? due to our cabin grade or captain's circle position?

Recently sailed with Oceania and had free wifi throughout the cruise.

Thanks.

The unlimited wi-if for suites was eliminated a couple of years ago and you'll only get the free minutes that Platinum & Elite passengers receive.

VOYAGE DURATION MINUTES

7 days or less - 150

8-20 days - 250

21+ days - 500

Unfortunately Princess did away with free internet for suite occupants about 4 years ago but since you are elite you will be entitled to free minutes based on the length of the cruise:

  • 7 days or less: 150 minutes
  • 8 to 20 days: 250 minutes
  • 21+ days: 500 minutes

When signing up for your free internet minutes package they have a onetime offer to purchase additional minutes. I've never purchased additional minutes but as I recall it was the best price offered onboard for anyone needing more minutes.

Thank you for the swift replays:)

Are the free minutes per cabin or per person?

Thanks.

Per person☺

As long as each person is platinum or elite (the perk is the same for both loyalty levels).

500 minutes....... that should just be enough to successfully log on, download a half-dozen emails and visit perhaps 3 web pages each ;) The internet speed is most often v....e....r.....y.............s....l....o....w on cruises out of Australia :(

Good luck though! :)

And I'll say once again as I have said before on other threads, make sure you log off correctly otherwise the countdown clock will continue and you will very quickly run out of minutes. If you do forget to log off correctly (you will know by the balance of time you have left when you next log on) you may be fortunate and get a generous internet cafe manager who MAY reinstate some lost minutes for you.:)
