tokyo Posted June 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2016 On 1st Feb 2017 our ship (Pando Ventura) will spend the night in Philipsburg. Has any one got suggestions of what we could do during the evening or places we could eat in.
obnurse Posted July 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2016 We had an overnight there in March of this year. The town area closed up at 6 pm. The locals didn't seem to know that ships sometimes stay overnight there. We were told by the locals that if we wanted nightlife, we should taxi to Maho. We decided to stay on board the ship for the evening.

During Season, and especially on the weekends, there is often lots of entertainment along the Boardwalk there in Philipsburg, with live music and activities, even for the kids. It's a family event. Other than that, for nightlife, the locals were 100% correct. Maho Village is THE Hotspot. If you are looking for a nice dinner, then Grand Case or Marigot might be your destination of choice, but for Nightlife, I think it's Maho. If you're looking for dinner and don't want to venture too far, there are several spots right in Philipsburg. Pasanggrahan, Antoine by the Sea, le Escargot, Taloula Mango, Chesterfields and the Greenhouse come to mind. gary
mafig Posted July 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2016 Aren't there casinos in Phillipsburg? They're small, I know. But they might be busy.
