greek islands

I would recommend finding a good local travel agent who would have all the information you need at their fingertips. There are many ships that cruise the Greek Islands in September.

But just be aware that generally speaking, small ship cruising is a lot more expensive than cruising on medium to large cruise ships. For example, Variety Cruises start at $3000 USD per person, Ponant starts at $4800 per person for 7 day cruises.

Azamara Journey has an eastern med cruise with stops in Mykonos, Patmos and Santorini (29 August). Seabourn Odyssey does Athens, Crete, Patmos and Mykonos on her 17 September cruise or Limnos, Rhodes, Santorin and Spetses from 27 August or Corfu, Lefkada (and Katakolon and Monemvasia) on her 10 September cruis. Jewel of the Seas (as do Costa and X) also has a few stops at Greek islands in September but they might all already be too big for your taste?

If you want to stay on the mas market lines you may not find a lot. If you can go with the luxury lines you are likely to find many options, especially if you can do 14 days.

Two lines come to mind, Thomson and Celestyal (Louis Cruise) Both sail around the area you want, at good prices.

Thomson offer fly/cruise using their own aeroplanes from many regional airports. Old ships; tips included; great entertainment and very friendly.

Celestyal sail from Greece/Cyprus, and attract people from around the world with their reasonable prices... it's some years since we used them, but the passengers were from everywhere, especially back packers. The recent reviews are good, taking into account the low prices and older ships.

We would use both lines again.

If its your first cruise and as you are in the UK I suggest you look at Thompson Cruises (part of Thompson Holidays). Many are well satisfied on those cruises. Entertainment is OK . Thomson are also taking delivery of a few ships (they are not new but purchased off other cruise lines), Just depends upon what you want. No harm in taking a look
