ArizonaTracie Posted July 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2016 We are flying into Long Beach airport on a Thursday morning for a cruise leaving that afternoon. Our flight arrives around 9am. What would be our best way to get to the Port of Long Beach? Taxi, shared shuttle, private service?? I am not familiar with transportation options there and the only other time we sailed out of Long Beach we drove.

I am not familiar with transportation options there and the only other time we sailed out of Long Beach we drove. Couple of shuttle companies we have used..1.PrimeTime and 2.Supershuttle. Booked PrimeTime shuttles (shared vans) as we are in no hurry, Nov/Dec, LAX to Hilton Waterfront Resort Hotel @ Huntington Beach and Huntington Beach to LA Cruise Centre (Princess) @ San Pedro. Reasonable fares around $48 for two pax each trip. You only have a short trip, so also consider a taxi or Uber as well as the two shuttle services mentioned. Enjoy your cruise. SadieN Posted July 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Taxifarefinder.com will give you a good estimate. FYI the taxi fare port to LGB is $38 flat. Reserve a shuttle if you decide to go that route. LGB is too small to have many waiting. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Cinebrat Posted July 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2016 As a heads up Uber or Lyft are not allowed to pick up at Long Beach Airport so if you wish to go that route you can try to take one of the free shuttles to a neighboring hotel and call an Uber from there. Otherwise Taxis are probably the best direct route.

annee Posted July 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2016 You do not need to reserve a shuttle at the LGB airport. There is a shuttle booth across the street in front of the car rentals which has shuttle drivers waiting. It cost us $25.00 for two to go to the Long Beach cruise terminal. The shuttle driver will give you his card and you can call him for the return to the airport for the same price.
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 31, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2016 If we have three people is it still 38.00? Yes, buy taxi not person. I would take a taxi and not the shuttle. Keith
