AndiandMike Posted May 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2004 This is funny. I've gone on many cruises before the knowledge of this awesome board! There are people answering roll calls for cruises a year in advance, we're going on the caribbean princess the week of 11/27/04 and I know of 2 other couples, how, they're my parents and in-laws!! I better get an upgrade if the ship stays empty!!!
sue d. miller Posted May 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Did you check the roll call board? Sue 7 days on Star Princess 10/

srphnx Posted May 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2004 That is not unusual this far out, true some cruisers book well in advance and start chatting but our last highly successful roll call got started 60 days in advance and really cooked thereafter, having a reunion, on of all dates 11/27. Nitemare Posted May 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Doesn't matter. All the lounge chairs at the pool will already be taken and someone much taller than you will be sitting in front of you in the Princess theater.
AndiandMike Posted May 14, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Nite- That was a rather somber reply darlin'! Hopefully he/she won't be taller, I'm a dwarf at only 5 3"! As for the lounge chairs, I'll lay down wherever I can to catch some rays. Cheer up babe!
mary07054 Posted May 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2004 andiandmike - don't worry; i'm going 8/14 and there is very few on the roll call but almost all of the balconies are sold out.
NancyA Posted May 14, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2004 I felt the same way about my cruise on the Golden on June 6th. There have been only 4 other responders on the Roll Call. Come on, it's just over 3 weeks away! Maybe our other passengers are on other boards. Nancy June 6-Golden
Lynda90 Posted May 14, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 14, 2004 I'm going on the diamond to alaska on 5/29 and hardly anyone has signed up on the roll call. Yet, I know the ship is pretty much sold out. So don't despair. There are still a few people who don't know about these boards and those are the ones on our sailings. Lynda
GottoCruise Posted May 14, 2004 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Me too - we're sailing 7/25 on the Pacific Princess with only have 1 other (CC)couple. yancycruiser Posted May 14, 2004 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Probably 95% of all cruisers are not on these boards. An empty ship with all that food and no chair hogs can be a wonderful experience. yanceycruiser Sapphire Princess 8/22/
Mezzaluna Posted May 15, 2004 #13 Share Posted May 15, 2004 I posted in the Roll Call forum for our cruise a couple of months ago and bumped recently. Still no takers! We're on Coral Princess July 10, southbound Alaska. Surely someone else will be on the Coral!? ijkh Posted May 15, 2004 #14 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Nancy A, Looks like we have the Star Princess all to ourselves on June the 9th. It is coming soon and I have NEVER seen a post of anyone going this destination with this date. Have fun. Ilene
fotogirl Posted May 16, 2004 #15 Share Posted May 16, 2004 Well, before the cruise, we were certain there were only 5 couples going....we just got off the Diamond to Alaska. That ship was packed! I heard them say it was def. full. So, I wouldn't go by who's answering your roll call....that's for sure!
