We are some 8 weeks out from our cruise. The luggage tags are available now but show for cabin number "To Be Assigned" If we print these off now and use them what happens at the pier when we pass the luggage an to the porters ?

We might wait until nearer the cruise to print the tags off so there might be a cabin number assigned.

Go ahead and print them whenever you're ready. If your cabin is TBA at the port, the porters have a list and will make you a luggage tag when you drop off your luggage.

You may not be assigned a cabin until days before or the day of your cruise. If you'll be traveling to get to the port, just wait until you're ready to leave and then print whatever you have.

 

One of the fun things about a TBA cabin is the anticipation of waiting to see what you'll get. Enjoy!!

There is no rush to print your luggage tags - wait until you need them and hopefully by then your cabin will be assigned. If not don't worry they will sort it out at baggage drop off at the pier!

Yes the porters have a list but there is no reason to print them out early.

If it were me I would feel better if they had the cabin # on them. imo.

I agree--no need to print 8 weeks in advance. BUT if you don't get an assignment before you travel, no worries. They will handle it at the terminal.

What does that have to do with putting ones cabin number on a tag when one has a GTY before boarding? :confused:

Hi, we had booked a gty had no cabin number got given cruise cards at check-in and told to report to purser and get new cards when boarded

Print whenever it suits you. We do it 2 days before travel.

Print them at the last convenient moment, and hopefully you will have your cabin assignment by then.

 

We had a guarantee cabin last year and got our cabin assignment about a week before embarkation date, just in time to print them before we flew out to the embarkation port where we were visiting friends before the cruise.
