Postcard from St Petersburg?

We enjoyed a great cruise around the Baltic on Emerald Princess in early June.

We wrote postcards and bought stamps at the customer service. They then took the cards and said they would be posted from St Petersburg. The cost of the stamps was just under $3 per card which was put onto our account.

No cards have arrived six weeks later!

Has anyone been successful doing this?

Well, amazingly they have arrived today! I think that I will use a company that makes a postcard out of any picture that you send them and then automatically sends it. Last one we got from friends arrived in 2 days!

Good. Better late than never!:)

I have read a number of posts here on CC saying it's "normal" for cards and letters posted from the ship to take an extremely long time to be delivered. I think they send them through a special post office somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle.
