ggprincess2004 Posted August 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Yes, there are several in the dining rooms. Are you thinking of fixed seating or anytime dining? We've traveled with groups that size several times, and even though we selected anytime dining, the maître d' accommodated our request to be seated together, and we essentially had a fixed seating assignment for the later dining time. On one occasion we were placed in the traditional fixed seating dining room, and other times we had a table assigned for about 8 pm in one of the anytime dining rooms. I will say that in the fixed seating dining room (which was not at all full for the late traditional time) there were two head waiters, one had our table assigned, and one did not, who competed to see who could "fall all over us" with special treats each evening. It was a wonderful experience. (If they had not done that and kept us laughing they might have been extremely bored, it was so empty.) It really does come down to accepting that you will have an assigned table and time.....to consistently be accommodated as a group that large. If you haven't all requested fixed seating at the same time and linked your reservations at the time of booking, requesting a table for 10, and instead have requested anytime dining, you can see the maître d' during "office hours" the first afternoon when you board (office hours usually are in the 2 pm range) and make the request. The next day (not the first night) you are likely to have your "table assignment" as a group. Hope that helps......
muleevans Posted August 5, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Thanks - yes we are booked for traditional (fixed) seating so it sounds like they should be able to accommodate all 10 of us at the same table. Thank you for your help !!!!!
RetiredNTraveling Posted August 5, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2016 I know the Star Princess has several. However, I am not fond of them, as the only ones you can talk to or hear are the 4 or 5 close to you. We prefer tables for 6 and then rotate the next evening. It seems more casual and less stressful for conversations! Jut Mike

Thank you for your help !!!!! Please check with Princess or your travel agent to make sure all your bookings are linked and your (all of your bookings)bookings show a request for a table for 10. I cannot emphasize enough how important this detail is.
ggprincess2004 Posted August 5, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 5, 2016 And if you are having fun with your waiter.....one evening we placed our orders and enjoyed our appetizers. While he was back getting the next course, we all switched seats. He served us perfectly without blinking an eye.....amazing. Yup, we had some fun with our servers. partybarbie Posted August 7, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 7, 2016 A lot of the 10-top tables are round or oval. I don't think you will have a problem getting one.
