Pier arrival time vs boarding time

We are going on the breakaway out if ny next summer. Maybe it's too far away

 

Have you completed your on-line check-in? That's when you choose your times.. I am going in November 2016 and booked at Christmas time and the option was there

I don't know . . . I was able to select a time back in February when I booked my November cruise. Maybe the check in process has changed???

If you're late for your boarding time, you fly to the next port....

 

I think you meant late for designated check-in time? 😁 if you arrive after your check-in time, you are allowed to check in upon arrival, don't have to wait until the end.

It doesn't apply for Europe bookings - might be the case here.

I called NCL and was told that I am too far out and the balance is not paid in full. I guess I will have to wait to schedule an arrival time.

What line allows you access to your stateroom before a designated time? On most ships, most passengers all have access at one announced time. Suites might be an exception.

 

Carnival offers an optional "Faster to the Fun" option (for a fee of about $50) that includes your cabin being ready for you as soon as you board. It also includes other add-on features.

This isn't true. I don't make my final payment got a few more weeks and I selected a boarding time. You need to process yur online check in. When u complete it you'll be given the option to pick a time.
