fnewman Posted August 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2016 We have a DL flight from ATL - CDG then connecting to AF to Athens. Can anyone give me some recent information concerning such connections there? Time, passport control, likely distance between gates, etc. Is there a web site that lists current gate assignments? Rare FlyerTalker Posted August 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2016 We have a DL flight from ATL - CDG then connecting to AF to Athens. Can anyone give me some recent information concerning such connections there? Time, passport control, likely distance between gates, etc. Is there a web site that lists current gate assignments?Your arriving flight will come into the T2E complex, which includes three different concourses (Halls K, L & M -- wonder if that came with the merger). Your departure will be from T2F. Now, where you may be in either of the terminals is unknown (much like asking what gate you'll get at ATL). You can see a terminal map at the airport website - LINK HERE. There is also connection information at the AF website. You will go through Schengen immigration procedures when you go between T2E and T2F as well as a security screening. As for time - it depends. Are there other flights with pax making the same T2E to T2F connection? Are you arriving at the end of a concourse or the middle? Where are your seats on the aircraft? CDG is a big airport, so you do not want to dawdle on your way to your connection. Signage is good - just note where your onward flight leaves from and follow the signs. Even if you don't know the specific gate, you will be leaving from T2F as that is the intra-Schengen terminal for SkyTeam flights.

Also, keep in mind that you mind end up on a shuttle bus between terminals or concourses. Last week we transited CDG, arriving from Nairobi and continuing on to ATL. Arrived at 2C, departed from 2E in the M concourse. Took a bus from 2C to 2E. The buses make multiple stops, so pay attention to where you are when it stops.
