Prohibition party on Harmony?

Recommended Posts

The Prohibition Party was started on Allure during the years when the musical 'Chicago' was the production show in the theater. In keeping with the 1920's theme of the Broadway show, Allure offered the Prohibition Party for $35pp on one night during each cruise. It was held in the Jazz Club.

It's a fun party with live music, dancing, a speakeasy atmosphere, a bookie taking play money bets on a fake horse race, and most people dress in 1920's garb. There are drinks (a variety of 1920's gin cocktails served in china cups, plus wine and beer I think) and hors d'oeuvres.

The staff working the party are dressed like 1920's gangsters and flappers. When you get your invitation (after booking/paying) it comes with lapel pins and a secret password. You go to the Jazz Club and when they are ready to open the door, you whisper your password to the crew member, who leads you through a maze of back crew corridors (like a secret entrance) into the Jazz Club.

It was a popular event on Allure, so it's been implemented on other ships now (like Oasis - not sure about others.) Sorry, I don't know if it's offered on Harmony.
