Please don't bring non-potty trained kids in the pools!

Currently on the Magic and am totally disgusted by what I have witnessed the past few days! First sea day saw a toddler in swim diaper at the small purple water slide and attendant told parent the kid wasn't allowed...parent takes diaper off kid and lets him continue playing-attendant says nothing. Main pool closed for hours due to incident- don't know if it was poop or vomit. Today I take my kid to the slides at 9AM and there are multiple piles of feces in and around purple slide. Entire slide area closed all day and still closed. I have personally witnessed countless babies in diapers in pools and hot tubs and am so grossed out!

People please don't ruin it for the rest of us! Rant over....

Good way to get E. coli. I would have taken pictures or a youtube video and hit the internet with it. Let's see how fast Carnival takes care of the problem. I have witnessed this numerous times on Carnival and I have yet to ever step foot in a Carnival swimming pool. I saw a guy who sat in the hot tub from 9:00 am until long into the evening. He drank beer all day - I wonder where he urinated? Pool attendant kept serving him even after he started singing. No one got into the hot tub with him!

Ewwwwww!!!! Just more examples of people doing anything they want to and anything they feel like, with absolutely no respect or decency to those around them. Little common sense too.

I would be going to GS and bringing it to the attention of whoever is in charge of that. I believe it's Housekeeping. Then if I didn't get results, I would post on social media with pics of babies in diapers or naked or whatever (I would block out their faces) and the poop too.

I'm sorry, but this is not a case of someone having a hissy about people not following the rules. It is a real public health hazard.

I agree with firemanbobswife. Go to guest services.

I love seeing kids on cruise ships. I bring my own (though not while they were still in diapers), but it is entirely selfish and inconsiderate to see parents do things like this. I witnessed the same type of behavior on every single cruise I've been on.

No excuse! None. How you gonna take off the diaper then let the kid back on the slide! Ignorant!!!

My initial thought when I read this was: OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE & WHO DOES THIS?!!!! Which is exactly how I feel, What is wrong with people ?!!!

Then I thought...UGH I actually know someone who would not think twice about doing whatever she wanted with her child because she paid to be on that ship. Unfortunately some people think they can do anything they want no matter what the rules are, or what is morally right.

That said, I would definitely complain to guest services because that is absolutely unacceptable behavior!!! I hope things get better for you.

I turned in two different people two weeks ago on the Breeze. Idiot parents let their little minions do anything they want.... I refused to get in the pool. I personally would like to see a minimum age of 5 to cruise at all. Would solve a lot of problems. Yes I have two children, but neither cruised until 5 yo.

I don't think guest services would do anything to be honest. I don't like causing problems, but this honestly has been annoying having slides closed all day/ it's important to me and my child as we really enjoy them and the waterpark. Maybe I will go down there now and inquire about the status of the slides...

I think had I seen this, I'd post pictures of it on John Heald's page as many people read it and I think, perhaps naively so, that with the publicity, some executive would get a feel for how the rules don't mean squat.

If John tells you to leave it with me, I'd follow up a few days later with pics again asking what did you find out? I say that ;unless things improve and you can see they have.

I am so sick of the entitled who feel because they paid for their child(ren) the kids can do anything/everything. Somehow I missed the message that I was on a free cruise. We all know that in the real world that doesn't happen. As soon as your post hits John's page, the parents will be talking about the drunk adults.

I don't go into the pools on any ship because of both, but unlike most Carnival rules that aren't followed, considered suggestions by many, this may help on this one. Who knows?

As adults when we see something like that we can just restrain ourselves from getting back in the tainted water, while cursing under our breath, but how in the world do parents who witness it explain to their young children why THEY can't get back in the water? They won't know how dangerous it is but may know mom and/or dad told them over and over before the cruise how much fun they were going to have in the pool and water park. Sad. But at least the parents of the poopy kids got their way - at the expense of many other children on board.

Well apparently the "pool people" don't care per the original post. When there is a problem with employees doing their jobs on the ship - no matter who it is, Management needs to get involved. The only way employees will be corrected is by having a higher up fix the situation.

As long as the kids that aren't potty trained are banned from the pool, that is it. No different than kicking underaged kids out of the bars, casinos, or Serenity. If the parents don't follow the rules, then let Carnival dish out what they deem appropriate. What do you suggest? Let the masses get sick because of some stupid parents? I DON'T THINK SO!

Wife, I get what you are saying. Realistically tho, nothing will happen. Does anyone think the parents will be financially punished? I get accidents happen, that's cool. What the hell are parents thinking when they DONT have their non potty trained toddlers in the pool without those specialty diapers???? I want to grab the parents and say "you are to stupid to be allowed to reproduce"!!!! So then Carnival theoretically comes out with a rule that "No one under the age of 5 (pick an age) is allowed in the pools"....can you imagine the outrage in that (similar to my feelings in specialty restaurants)
