PortlandCruiser Posted August 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2016 We're planning on going full comfort/casual for the doldrums of check in and boarding. However we'd like to go to lunch and wouldn't want to get kicked out of lunch for wearing a t-shirt in the MDR. Anyone have a definitive fact on if there will be a dress code enforced for Concierge departure lunch?

Since you are just arriving on the ship & won't be able to get in your cabin before lunch, you will have no problem with whatever you are wearing. Perfect, that's what we were thinking! Thanks!

MDR, specialty, etc. Everyone is aware how things happen. You'll be fine. Enjoy.
Rare Azulann Posted August 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Loved this lunch in the MDR when we boarded before our CC stateroom was ready. It was a nice perk, and a great way to start our cruise.
jb008 Posted August 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) Breakfast & Lunch dress code is generally pretty relaxed throughout the whole cruise. I know I've worn golf/cargo shorts and tee shirts (Note: NOT gym attire or undershirts) in the dining room for breakfast and lunch, and never been hassled about it. Anyone have a definitive fact on if there will be a dress code enforced for Concierge departure lunch? We've been to 2 CC embarkation lunches. On the first one at the start of our B2B we wore the casual clothes we came onto the ship with i.e. jeans and polo shirt. On our change over day we wore shorts and polo shirts. There was no problem whatsoever and the majority of the people at the lunch were dressed very casually. There was no enforced dress code. Would have been impossible to do anyway as people did not have their luggage. Enjoy your lunch, saves queuing at the buffet for a table. Wj420 Posted August 12, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2016 I've sailed on Celebrity for years and there will be no concern about any dress code at lunch. In the Caribbean there is barley a dress code the first night at all!
