I think you need to see how much MSC are charging for flights and check how much you could get them for if you booked yourself.

+1 to what Pete has written. I would add that MSC generally add approx €300pp for flights within Europe. Usually, you can get the flights much cheaper yourself even taking a transfer cost into account. Occasionally, such as in the case of our upcoming cruise, the cost is less or close to what you can achieve yourself plus the benefit of transfer, especially in the case of Civitavecchia, which is a pain to get to. Also, MSC will fly you in on the day of the cruise which is risky to do yourself, saving you a hotel night. Ken

Thank you so much for clarifying. I will check to see what the cost is with MSC vs booking a flight on my own as peteukmcr suggested. I will also compare the cost of transfers and possibly a hotel stay as suggested by CruiseIreland. Thanks again!
