I wanna book on the escape again in January but if I didn't get vibe i'd be sooooo disappointed! And it won't be the same without everyone else there! Decisions decisions....

I wish we could! Yes, without Vibe and the rest of the crew, it would be a lackluster event. The only saving grace would be the company of my wife and the bartenders in Vibe! They are simply the best. Rommel, Roberto and Renzi really made the trip for us. They are truly professionals at their craft.

We talked about random crap and sung 90's songs until late.

90's dude was cool but was real awkward when we headed to our respective cabins that night and despite it being platonic ignored me for the rest of the cruise lol.

I'd imagine most single dudes on a cruise by themselves are not expecting their interactions with females in the same situation to end up being "platonic". Avoiding you is kind of funny though. Dude has zero game.

Yes, can't forget about Kert. He always seemed to show up at the right place and time. It's almost as if he knew I was out of beer and Vibe was closed. LOL

I just noticed you are heading on the Escape tomorrow. The best advice I can give you is if you get to the port early enough make sure to get a Vibe pass. You will not be sorry and it is well worth the $99. You will have great fun with the bar men and make friends with the other guests. It's very relaxing up there and you will laugh a lot and have a great time. Make sure to tell Rommel we sent you. We were on for 2 weeks from July 23rd to August 6th.

Thanks, guys. Going to pass on Vibe this time around since I have Haven and thermal spa access.

Hey gang!

I'm with everyone else, Vic! Time for a new installment. Can't wait to see find out what else we did. 😂

To anyone else reading, in case we haven't made it clear yet...if you're on the Escape, run for Vibe and tell Rommel, Roberto and Renzi we said hi!

DAY 2:

So I woke up to the announcements over the intercom. I somehow wasn't really hungover much at all. I think the naps and the water before bed helped. I had the closest room to the studio lounge.

It definitely was a bit loud with the doors shutting. I had two blank spaces next to me which is one reason I chose it. In case I ever was loud and I didn't want to bother anyone...

Also because being close to the lounge I was always able to grab a glass of ice water whenever I needed. They started to pile up some days...

While I am on the room I will mention that I loved the studio. It has plenty of space. I've only had ocean views and I felt like I had the same amount of space as I did when sharing an OV (luckily my usual roommate is also a slob).

The shower was awesome and had crazy good water pressure. I didn't use the hair products but then soap worked fine. The blow dryer was pretty good. Nothing spectacular like some people had raved.

I do wish I had a chair. I am lazy and like to sit when I get ready. The lighting was great although I feel like they should give you a tutorial about how to use the lights and to find the outlets.

Here is a quick video from snapchat:

Got to go to a training! More later!

I went to bed the first 2 nights with the blue lights on. I pressed every button I could find to turn them off but nothing worked. Thanks to Gemma on day 3 for showing me the button that says on/off. I blame alcohol and Seamus 😂

I read this thinking, "Seamus! That's one that DID have a label! 😂"

It makes sense now but when you are tired and drunk nothing makes sense. I think one night I took my card out of the socket just to turn the lights out

So as I believe I said in my last post, I got up and cleaned my room. I ended up finding my cell phone tucked under some of my covers.

My room is basically never clean, but on my roll call I had said I would do the cabin crawl and volunteered my room so people could see a studio.

That day I decided to wear my awesome body suit and some high waisted shorts. I wanted everyone to know I was ready to party:

I wanted to get a drink before the meet and greet but I was running a bit late and already feeling awkward. I was pretty sure it would be easy to put my username to my face.

The meet and greet was in Cagneys and they had some light snacks and strawberry smoothies. The bar wasn't open in there to add rum unfortunately. However, I mentioned this to one of the staff members and then a few minutes later they brought one with rum to me [emoji7]

People have already gone over the meet and greets. People just introduce themselves blah blah blah. Then we did the cabin crawl. That was actually pretty cool. This was my first NCL trip so it was cool seeing other rooms. I LOVED the Spa Suites. That would be my dream room. The tub by the window just seems amazing. I also liked the Aft Balconies. Here is me taking a selfie on the Aft.

It was nice meeting everyone too. Everyone was really friendly and asked me about the bar exam. I'll try and make sure I go to them more. I also got chocolate strawberries delivered to me that night. I don't think I ate much of them.

The order of things that happened this day are a bit fuzzy but I'll do my best.

We ended the Cabin Crawl at Vibe so I stayed there to have some drinks. I was sort of feeling awkward at this point. I didn't have my alcohol confidence blanket on yet and everyone in Vibe seemed to be content in their groups.

I hadn't yet been in the hot tub and there was a big group of people in there so I jumped in. The group was mostly men who were there for a friends birthday. They probably ranged from ages to 25-50 and in case it's important for anyone reading this they were disappointed with the "friends or Dorothy" turn out the night before.

I went with this group of guys to the main pool to watch the Mr. Sexy Legs competition. It was pretty awkwardly raunchy. I felt the need to cover the eyes of the children near me. Unfortunately my new friend was the runner up. He definitely had the best moves though.

After the pool I decided to go back to my room to cool off and freshen up!

I eventually wandered back down to the district. Side note, I really felt like the studios were very conveniently located to fun places. Like I mentioned before I had the one closest to the lounge and exterior door so I had easy access to the main hallway which was worth the noise of the doors to me.

I headed to The District and of course found A and Seamus there! I was about even in the beer drinking contest with A at this point so I decided the main strategy I would take would to go down the taps. I was already pretty drunk at the time so this was a bad idea.

I had to put a nice filter on this one because my drunk face was bad this day. Actually later that night I had a severe heat rash or whatever from drinking. This happens somewhat regularly so I wasn't too surprised.

I asked Edward if there were any canned beers so I could teach my non American friends how to shot gun beers. Edward informed me that we would be the first people to do it in The District. Fortunately I recognize how bad I am at shotgunning beers so we went outside. We met two Americans out there who knew what we were up to and got excited and grabbed beers to join in.

PBR is the only can you can do this with here. I think they had other pop cans in other venues though.

For those who don't know what shotgunning is, you pop a hole in the side of a beer towards the base (Edward had a good tool he let us borrow for this). Once you pop the beer open you drink out of the hole until you finish the beer.

Thanks for the expert video skills Seamus [emoji28][emoji23]

Anyways, after this we went back into DISTRICT and I was ordering a bunch of stouts. A kept warning me to not drink them because of the high alcohol content. I wasn't going to let his tactics work so I kept chugging along.

I had actually gotten so much beer on my shirt from the shot gunning that I took of my shirt since I was wearing a one piece bathing suit. Except this particular suit was pretty revealing. In fact Seamus made fun of me so I punched him in the arm and apparently I had a wardrobe malfunction that A and one of the bartenders saw

The stouts started to get to me so I had the drunkenly brilliant idea of taking my beer to the bathroom with me to finish it (by pouring some down the sink) A and Seamus knew what was up pretty quickly and called me out. For the rest of the week we joked that the girls bathroom should have had their own spot on the leaderboard. (I know shame on me)

After a while a the three of us popped up to Vibe to say her to the others and see what they were doing. I had some shot o'clock here and maybe a drink or two? I was pretty toasted by that time. I remember everyone joking with me not to take another nap.

It was almost time for the solo gathering so we decided to leave and get ready for dinner...

... Except that I didn't make it to dinner. I apparently decided I wanted to take another nap. Something about the beds in the studio and how they are tucked into the corner with all those pillows, it always seemed to beckon me.

This time I didn't wake up as late as the time before. I think it was around 11pm. I was able to text my friends since I had purchased the plan that day. They actually had to help me.

I forgot to mention that I had cancelled my internet during the day. The line took a long time and since I had pre purchased and never even registered they didn't fight me on it. They only gave me OBC though instead of the refund but it all worked out.

I quickly changed and got ready and as you can see from the picture I was a bit disheveled.

I found out my friends were. I can't remember if I met them at the casino or at Howl at the Moon (actually I have a random video of the pianist at District that night so maybe I went there first?!) . I know I ended up in Howl and I really enjoyed it. I actually sort of just went and sat by myself up front and enjoyed it alone for a while.

People sort of went on their own ways and I was still pretty drunk from the day of drinking so I went back to my room. I checked out the TV station for the first time and my friend Seamus stopped by for a bit but he started getting real sick (he was violently ill until the next afternoon and he claims it was sea sickness).

My friend A had told me he was in the lounge chillin. I had needed some water so I went to go meet him there but when I opened the door he was already there with some water for me so he came in and we watched the end of that lawyer spy movie but I booted him out when he stared to snore!

Next up Day 3 - Honduras!
