Smoking in Vibe?

I would like to try my luck at getting passes to the Vibe on our September Getaway cruise. Does anyone know if smoking is still allowed in the Vibe area?

The correct answer is no, per NCL's own policy. That said, I won't argue your experience. My guess, no one complained, therefore the behavior was allowed.

 

We just came off the Escape and smoking was strictly forbidden in Vibe.

In March it was allowed on the Breakaway in a small area of the bar. However, this may have changed.

Thanks you everyone for the information. My DH will not step foot in the Vibe if there is smoking. I think we will still try to get the passes.

I think it may depend on how many smokers (if it is allowed on Getaway) are there in that week (and have Vibe access). You may find that a lot of the time, no one is smoking at all.

There may simply be different rules on different ships. For example, smoking is allowed in areas on the Waterfront of Getaway but not on Escape. Maybe the rules vary for Vibe, too? I know smoking isn't allowed in Vibe on Escape, but others are reporting differently on different ships. Perhaps that's the difference.

No smoking permitted in Vibe this past February 2016. One of the Vibe guests tried to light up, and Rowena Rommel shut that down

And, for the record, the Waterfront (Deck 8) and Vibe had smoking areas on Breakaway in March. Again, YMMV :D
