CrabbyHarper Posted August 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Are there enough h/c parking spaces? Are they close to the terminal? Are there porters who will help someone with an h/c placard on the car? Is entrance to the ship at ground level or does one have to ascend a ramp? Appreciate any helpful info for experienced cruiser who now has to use a Euro-style walker.

dixieva Posted August 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2016 My sister uses a walker and we cruise from Baltimore a lot. The parking is close to the building so we usually don't even use her handicap sticker to park. Porters take your luggage from your car before you park. Before the accident when they still had the long boarding ramp we were always directed to the other short ramp to board the ship when they saw her walker. mad-dog74 Posted August 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) Its like parking at Wal-Mart.... except more expensive! Edited August 19, 2016 by mad-dog74
spookwife Posted August 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2016 honestly here are no 'bad' spots at the port at all. (except in Winter, then pack shovel) the entire lot is 'close' to the terminal. until the Ramp of Doom is replaced/fixed, everyone boards at pier level. Porters unload everyone's car as you enter before you even hit the parking lot.
Ocean Dancer Posted August 19, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2016 Parking is so close to the ship that the whole parking lot could be Handicapped. The guide will direct you to the closest parking with the placard........don"t worry and have a wonderful cruise! :D:D
