Norwegian Star in April

Hi folks,

 

Hoping to go on our second cruise April 16th 2017 from Venice on the Star. Firstly does anyone have any opinions on the star? We previously cruised on the epic.

 

Secondly, what do you think the weather would be like at that time in Venice and Greece? Lastly, would the sea be any more turbulent than normal around that time?

The STAR is about 180 degrees different than EPIC, so she won't have all the different entertainment venues. Its just one large theater and you'll have a much easier time getting around as she's a lot smaller.

 

The temperatures in April will be nice, not oppressively hot, no one can say for sure what the seas will be.

I would look for other European reviews about the STAR and see what you think.

The Star is a great ship and easy to get around, it was also reburbished 2015.

I strongly suggest that for this cruise spend the extra money and go for an aft cabin as the view going down the Venice canal is one of the best sailaway's ever and you'll get to see both sides as its not a very wide canal, you'll also be sailing some of the iconic landmarks of Venice.
