Ship shops open on Xmas Eve?

We'll be on the Sapphire on Christmas Eve. We'd like to buy a few gifts for our DS stocking. Will the shops be open? Thank you.

I'd guess if its a day they'd normally be open, they will be. If its a port day, no.

I agree with Dan - if the ship is sailing, the stores will be open. Even on Christmas day.

The shops are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We were on the Grand last Christmas and if you're sailing, Christmas is just like any other day of the weekwhen you're on the boat.

Thanks for your replies. We're leaving LA on Christmas Eve so I guess it's a sailing day and not a port day.
