Splashgirl Posted September 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Last time my husband and I cruised (2 years ago on RC) we were under the impression that you could not bring drinks on board, but we saw pas senders bringing cases of water on board with there luggage is this Legal? They were not hiding it, and if it is legal, how do I get permission?
ColoradoGurl Posted September 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2016 It's technically against the rules, but not usually enforced. Some people have said that some of the newer/bigger ships will enforce it during busier sailings (like holidays or spring break), but even then, it seems hit or miss. troykahack Posted September 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2016 If it is a rule, it seems to be overlooked. Suggest shrink wrapped water only.
Clarea Posted September 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2016 We've had the best luck putting the water in luggage. Some ports will not take an obvious case of water as checked luggage.
aml716 Posted September 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I carried on two cases of water in my see through beach bag last week on oasis. The porters wouldn't accept it tho and advised me" it's better to carry it on" Sent from my iPhone using Forums
SonicShip Posted September 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I used a fold-able duffle bag and put a case of 32 bottles of water with luggage tags. It was delivered to my cabin with the rest of the luggage.
karena1 Posted September 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Yes, best to put it inside a piece of luggage if you are going to check it. I know PC is very bad about accepting it if it is just shrink wrapped or something. put it in the luggage itself and it will make it to the cabin.
