Carnival just announced $50pp deposits have started this week until Friday for those wanting to book a cruise.....Also in addition for military you receive $50 obc.

$50 per person deposit is applicable to 2-9 day sailings (exluding Alaska & Carnival Vista), $150 per person deposit is applicable to Alaska & Carnival Vista (excluding Alaska 14 day).

I was hoping to book on the Vista, but they really dont have a lot of itinerarys that are not repeat ports for me. if I book I would have to be ok with that and really just go for the new ship experience.

Yes, I have found out this myself. I usually will book with reduced deposit, then watch for a few weeks for price drops then pay rest of deposit and get price drop. If I do this early then I always end up with the lowest price up until I cruise. I don't get any more price drops but I'm still paying the lowest price in the end.
