Ruby Princess Sanctuary Alternatives

Looking at Ruby princess for an Alaskan cruise and wondered if it is a must to go to the Sanctuary? Is there any places on Ruby Princess that are quieter and thereby avoiding the 30-40 a day cost for the Sanctuary.

We are use to the adult only areas on Carnival and having a hard time thinking of paying to avoid kids.

thanks

No need to pay for the Sanctuary.... it'll be too cold anyway. Inside, you'll have the Adagio's bar, which is nice and quiet during the day. The best place to be, however, is out on deck, especially if you don't have a balcony....

Any suggestions on where? Our last cruise to Alaska we bundled up and went to the serenity (adult area). We are always afraid of missing something in Alaska and spend a lot of time on deck. Where are some quiet areas?

No need to pay to avoid children. It is too cool in Alaska for a comfortable sanctuary experience, and there are limited views from that area.

Outside sitting locations with views and fewer children might be:

Horizon Terrace

Horizon Terrace Pool which is adults only

Promenade deck

Area just outside of the Adaigo Lounge

Any lounging area on deck 16 above the Lido pools

Area just outside of the sanctuary on deck 17

Inside areas could be:

Adaigo Lounge, limited view

Skywalker's Nightclub, great views, can get crowded

Club Fusion near the windows, activities going on throughout the day

Wheelhouse Bar near the windows.

There is also the Lotus Spa pool, steam and sauna area on deck 16, no charge, adults only. It is outside, protected, but has no view.

Even though there can be more youth on an Alaska cruise, they will be concentrated in the youth center area, and if warm around one or both of the Lido deck pools.
