Nassau stinks, you aren't missing a thing plus there are printed warnings about it being a high crime port. I'm surprise some lines still stop there.

Grand Turk is fab. Jacks Shack is a must for food. We had Governors beach to ourselves when we there and it's beautiful. If you want to explore the island just walk through the port gates and hire a golf buggy from Karin Auto Rentals. If you google them and contact tonight he will be waiting for you at the gates. You can easily get to the lighthouse etc on one of these and great fun. You have dropped lucky - enjoy your holiday

I'd take Grand Turk over Nassau, any day of the week. I'd like to visit the lighthouse again. The view from the lighthouse is absolutely spectacular.
