shutuph Posted October 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2016 We are considering a cruise out of Vancouver but it is cheaper to fly into seattle. (We would also like to see seattle first.) What is the best way to get from seattle to Vancouver cruise port. Rough cost would also be appreciated.
epixx Posted October 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2016 We paid $40 for four of us (yes, that's the total) to travel from Seattle to Vancouver on BoltBus. The ride took 3 hours, 15 minutes. Bus departed from and arrived at the respective train stations. What do you mean by "best"? Fastest, cheapest, most comfortable, most scenic? PCWalton1 Posted October 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2016 In the past we used the Quick Shuttle bus but it is actually the most expensive ($110 for two). Also it is a long (6 hour) trip due to stop along the way and the need to unload luggage at the border and have passports checked by agents. The Amtrak train is cheaper ($64 for two) and not such a hassle at the border. Also a more comfortable ride. We have it booked for this coming September. You can also consider driving. We have not done it northbound but we have numerous times southbound. Rental has run us $55-75. Just be careful as some charge a relocation fee. xlxo Posted October 18, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) Congratulations..... when I go looking online, I can never find the $1 fare. Is there a time during the day when the $1 fares are available? What time zone? Is there a time during the day when the $1 fares are available? What time zone? Sent from my Passport using Forums mobile app Look for a single ticket. The $1 fares a few and come out right when the day comes available. But, if you put in 3 tickets, and if only 1 $1 fare is left- it will default to the ticket prices for all 3, won't say there is 1 ticket lower.
