dual Posted August 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Im on Deck 3 also on an interior cabin. I cannot find anyone to advise on deck 3 and believe me, Ive asked lol. Im mid ship so the casino is above me but as its carpeted I shouldnt get much noise Ive establish I'll be closer to the exits when entering & leaving the ship (apparently) Lifts will mostly be empty when we get on :-) I have the dreaded motion/sea sickness - so I will be all good on deck 3 You may have sailed by now so what was your experience.... please do tell! Ocean Boy Posted August 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2017 I have stayed on deck 3 on Oasis and liked it there just fine. It is pretty quiet and the elevators are empty when they get down there so there is never a problem getting on them. Coming back from port it is an easy walk up to your cabin so you can bypass the masses of people waiting for elevators. It is an easy two deck walk up to the Royal Promenade and three decks up to Boardwalk. More than that and you will probably use the elevators and does it really matter how many decks you ride the elevator for? Nothing wrong with the deck. Enjoy the anticipation of your up coming cruise on this awesome ship.
taglovestocruise Posted August 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2017 No reason to go that low except for price and absolute fear of motion sickness. In the Caribbean it is unlikely to experience any weather that would rock the ship. We have been in a deck 12 balcony cabin on Allure during a hefty storm crossing the Atlantic in Nov. with heavy seas and felt almost nothing. Anything below deck 6 has a lack of fresh air. Even if you have a interior or ocean view anything above deck 6 you still benefit from hundreds of balcony cabins circulating fresh air.. Just my opinion,
dual Posted August 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2017 Ocean Boy - Than you - finally some positives Taglovestocruise...Yep, spot on, price was v. good and I do suffer with motion sickness. On my last cruise (I was on deck 7 on Liberty) crossing from Grand Cayman to Cozumel was pretty rough and my bathroom knew about it, took me a day to recover.
