Celebrity prices DECREASE yet AGAIN?!?

I believe the OBC actually comes from Celebrity and is part of the pricing package.

 

Travel Agents like to use wording that implies the OBC comes from the TA or is special for that TA when it really comes from the cruise line.

 

Examples on invoice or web site:

 

"TAname Discount $xxxx." (Actually same pricing direct from Celebrity or any other TA)

 

"Celebrity offers our customers......" (actually offered to ciustomers of any TA or even directly booked with Celebrity)

 

We have the standard OBC from X and then extra OBC from our TA.

Same here. The extra TA credit that I get is not listed on the Celebrity confirmation. Only the Celebrity OBC. My TA credit shows up on my onboard account about two days into the cruise. Also the Celebrity OBC is applied first onboard and then the TA OBC after the Celebrity OBC is used up. If there is any TA OBC that is not used that gets credited back to my Credit Card. The TA OBC is refundable.
