We will be going on the Jade out of Tampa. Just the other day American Airlines changed our return flight from 1:30 pm to 12:00 pm. Do you think that will give us enough time?

You should be fine if you don't drag your feet. Carry your own stuff off with the early group. Airport isn't that far. Hope this helps. Happy cruising! Bill.

You should be fine. TIA is only about a 15 to 30 minute drive from the port. However we were on the Dawn a few years ago and the ship got in late due to fog in Tampa Bay. But in that case even the 1;30 flight would have been a problem. I would be comfortable with the 12 o'clock flight.

Just FYI, since AA changed your booked flight to an earlier departure, you can - if you wish, and, not to be rushed - to call up their reservation # and asked to be booked, at no charge, to a later flight ... assuming that you won't miss any connection flights to get home and/or it's the only flight available on their Sabre CRS.

When one of our nieces came off the Getaway in MIA, their late afternoon flight was changed by DL to an earlier one, she called & airline CSR cheerfully gave them different options - to fly out in the mid evening on a nonstop to JFK - they practically had a whole day in town ... lunch with local friends & early bird dinner before riding out to the airport.

When your booked flights is changed by the airline, the computer system automatically attempt - in good "faith" to rebook you at (intelligent guess) the next best available option - sometimes early, sometimes later than originally scheduled ... it has no way of knowing you are coming off a cruise, and some might feel at ease with a later flight & enjoy a leisure morning onboard until everyone must vacate the stateroom & leave the public area, etc. If the ship isn't delayed & CBP are quick in clearing everyone coming off, 12 noon is - as others said - fine for Tampa ... life is full of surprises.

Happy cruising :)

I don't think you will have a problem on a 12pm flight.

I have cruised out of Tampa 4 times. That is more than enough time. You can be the last off of the ship and still be in the airport by 10:00 a.m. There is no need to worry at all.

The cab ride is about 10 -12 minutes. If you are concerned, and really there is no reason to be, just leave the ship in one of the earlier disembarkation groups. You do not need to carry your luggage yourself.
