I just became an Elite member and would like to know what free drinks I can get at the daily cocktail event. Can I bring a glass of wine from cocktail "hour" to the main dining room for dinner? How much are the frozen drinks at the bars? I just got off a Royal Caribbean cruise and frozen drinks (i.e. Pina Colada) were $12.00. I am booked on the Silhouette this January.

There are several drinks at the daily cocktail house ... none of which you are allowed to take from the lounge where the event is being held. If there are a lot of elites onboard during your cruise, you will possibly get 3 vouchers (this is in the process of being changed to loading the free drinks onto your card) to use at selected bars on the ship, in which case, you can take them with you to dinner (unless they are really checking as you walk away .. unlikely).

The free drinks include most well drinks with the standard liquors, a few choices of wine and beer. If you want a top shelf liquor, you would have to pay for those drinks. If you are a wine drinker or craft beer drinker ... you won't be really happy with these available captain's club menu items and would have to pay for a better option.

The frozen drinks are not included in your lounge menu ... they are probably anywhere from $10 - $15, depending on alcohol chosen.

Congrats on earning elite status. As most folks are getting drink pkg perks, the Elite free drinks are less important for many than the actual socializing that goes on at the Elite party (should there be a party and not the couponing mentioned above). I think you'll also appreciate the free laundry and pressing, especially on longer cruises. The scoop of gellato and the 3 casino matches are fun too.

The frozen drinks are around $8 or $9 depending on what you get and the bar.

Before the beverage package I bought a whole lot of pina coladas!

The elite cocktails are pretty basic, but if you aren't too picky, you can enjoy meeting people and having some pretty nice appetizers and some free cocktails.

Normally they don't let you walk out with your drinks if you're in the dedicated lounge, but if you're given vouchers you can use them at various bars throughout the ship and I don't imagine they can "police" walking to dinner with a glass.

Another thing we used to do when we had vouchers, we never drank 3 beverages, so we took our "change" in unopened Diet Cokes and bottled waters.

They didn't mind us walking out with those at all.
