jeanlyon Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) We are booked on Balmoral in January and have free tips and tipples included. I have tried to find out what you can have on the free tipples bit, but can't find any info. On the £10 per night offer, it looks like you can't have a bottle of wine, only a glass at a time. Anyone know how the free tipples works? Edited October 28, 2016 by jeanlyon
Parsman Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 The tipples is effectively replacing the "all inclusive" on these cruises and you can get the selection of drinks included in that package with no charge. I came off the "Balmoral" last month and found that the system worked very well. If you also have on-board credit as well it can be difficult to spend it! jeanlyon Posted October 28, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted October 28, 2016 No OBC with this cruise. Is it right that you can only have a glass of wine with dinner, no bottle?
berkshireboy Posted October 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2016 No OBC with this cruise. Is it right that you can only have a glass of wine with dinner, no bottle? Your glass will be topped up as often as you wish during meals - no problem. If you don't like the house wines on offer you can also purchase any bottle of wine at half price. You won't be thirsty! jeanlyon Posted October 28, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted October 28, 2016 OK - just means more work for the staff though! That's fine. We got a good deal. Bit of winter sunshine on Balmoral.
tring Posted October 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) You get a sheet in your cabin on arrival detailing what is included. I posted ours from May on Braemar in a thread that is on the second page of this section now - link here:- http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2369466 The AI can change in minor details, but has not changed a lot over time. Note what is available in restaurants can be different to what is available in bars, which just depends on what they stock. Lots of comments about AI can be found if you look at older threads here. jeanlyon Posted October 28, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Thanks, that makes it quite clear. I'm sure the house wine will be fine!
