We will be cruising on Breakaway in December for the third time. We were last on Breakaway in March. Any new additions,upgrades, changes that we should be aware of? Any idea who is the current captain and cruise director of Breakaway?

Uptown Grill is now Margaritaville.....that's the biggest change since March. We were on in March, and will be back on in December as well :)

Awesome... One other change that has happened since March is that you can no longer take any water/soda on the ship. Doesn't bother us, since we never took it on anyways. but some are disappointed in that change.

Thanks for the information... it does not bother us either since we ever took water or soda on past cruise. We are from Allentown, PA and look forward to meeting you guys!

A Scott was my Cruise director on the Getaway in May. Not sure if it was the same Scott, or if he is still there.

Changes are no more lobster in any restaurants (replaced with shrimp) except for a $25 tail in the MDR it. Many drinks are no longer included in the UBP as they have raised the price on many premium liquors. Some reports of the Tomahawk rib eye disappearing from Cagneys. New Le Bistro menu with no more lamb chops. Also, some reports of lox replaced with salmon mousse at the breakfast buffet.

 

All of this lends to a diluted offering which was not what was paid for when we booked our cruise. Welcome to the new NCL.

just a general cruise comment. due to bad weather many things outside were closed the last 2 days of our trip. make sure you do what you want when it's available and dont put it off for another day.

Yes, Scott Mikelonis. He was CD on Breakaway last November.
