bullsh Posted November 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2016 How is the snorkeling in Coco Cay? Do you need to do one of the excursion or can you get by the plane wrecks and coral on your own? Thanks

Thanks You do not need an excursion to snorkel at Coco Cay. You can see the plane wrecks and reef yourself. You can use your own equipment or rent equipment on the island. LibrarianBecky Posted November 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 2, 2016 I have snorkeling gear, but no life vest. Are vests required for snorkeling? If not required, are they recommended? Can I rent just vests there? Thank you! Sent from my iPad using Forums

--MajestyoftheSeas-- Posted November 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 2, 2016 There is an official snorkel area where the sunken plane and boat are. You can also snorkel other areas of Coco Cay by yourself. I snorkeled an almost empty beach far from most other passengers and saw the first shark I have ever seen, although it was a small reefshark it still counts :)
