smixsell Posted November 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2016 I just received an upsell offer from Princess that I intend to turn down. However, I just noticed that our current cabin, a standard balcony cabin on Lido has the following notation: Special Notes: BALCONY DOOR BLOCKEDWHEN UPPER BERTH IS IN USE I have never had a balcony cabin with an upper birth before, and am now concerned that I might find it annoying. Does anyone out there have any experience w/. balcony cabins with upper births on Regal/Royal ships? I would appreciate it if you would share your experiences and impressions as to whether or not they are intrusive/annoying. Thanks in advance! In those situations they are recessed in the ceiling near the balcony door and are lowered by Stewart when made up at night. During the day the are stowed up in the ceiling again. Colo Cruiser Posted November 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2016 Great! Thanks so much for the helpful and reassuring information! Your welcome. I think someone posted a photo here on CC awhile back of what the bed looks like when on the down position. Maybe it will show up again. ;)
