Miami airport day

We have transfers from ship to MIA post cruise but our flight is late evening, would leaving luggage in storage at airport and going to the Dolphin Mall be an option?

Your other (better IMHO) option, if you have time is the Airport Flyer bus - about $3 each from MIA to South Beach. Have a fun lunch, do some people watching, see the art=deco architecture, beach, etc. and then bus back to MIA.

yes, we did this last March. The shuttle bus to Dolphin Mall leaves from just outside the luggage storage drop. Just leave yourself plenty of time to reclaim your bags and get through checkin and security as it can be slow!
