making changes to drink package after purchase

I expect the answer will be pay more, but I thought I'd ask here before I spend some time on hold asking RCCL.

 

I bought the refreshment package for myself when it was on sale. Would I be able to change it to be my husband's package instead of mine or would this be a case of cancel and rebook and loose the sale price?

 

Is this something I might be able to switch on board?

 

Although I like frozen virgin drinks, he will drink a lot more coffee and oj and would likely get more value out of the package and I can just pay a la carte.

On my confirmation is says that any changes to a drink package require a cancellation and repurchase.

 

Regardless of anything you read here you should call and try. You never know.

My wife tried to change and they would allow the discount for the next package.

 

Also, the drink packages don't include Starbucks anymore even if it was included when the package was purchased. Starbucks was strangely quiet on the Oasis in October.

I am in the same boat, except for me it was a select package I was trying to move from hubby's name to mine. I could not cancel and rebook because the select is no longer available. When I called RCL, they told me to see guest services upon boarding and they could switch it.
