txd Posted November 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Currently booked in a C3 cabin 1279 (deck 10) on the Reflection for a cruise in Nov. 2017. As an Elite, I was offered an upgrade to C2 cabin 2201 (deck 12). The questions I have is it worth the change. Deck 12 is right under the buffet. If you were in my shoes, would you move up to a higher deck or would you stay put on deck 10? Interested in hearing opinions from seasoned cruisers. Thanks in advance. SirWolf Posted November 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2016 I am not a seasoned cruiser, just booked my first X cruise in April 2017. In this section of the ship the balconies on deck 12 have the overhang above. I would keep cabin 1279 on deck 10. Just my preference.
jelayne Posted November 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2016 I wouldn't move to a cabin under the OV, some have some a little noise others have a lot of noise.
thebutlerdidit Posted November 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Are any of the C2 cabins on the starboard side 2166-2172 or port side 2169-2175 available? Those have oversized balconies.
Lastdance Posted November 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) A friend of mine was also offered an upgrade from an 1A to a C3. I had a 1A on the slant of the hump on hold due to prices falling and thinking of trading down from a suite. Anyway, I was able to let her have it and I kept my suite. She received a sweet deal with no adjoining doors, along with a huge balcony and closer to the elevators. Her C3 was further aft and a regular sized balcony. She helped me decide to stay put and she received a better cabin. So an upgrade is not always what it appears to be...
