Slot punch key card

Heading on the Escape in Dec, and I'm wondering if they can slot punch the id card to attach a lanyard? I called the NCL line and they said no, but I've seen reports that it's possible.

 

Has anyone been on the Escape recently and had their room key punched?

Went on the Escape back in the spring and they punched mine for me.

I usually go to guest services on board and they do it

On Escape last October and I went to Guest services and they punched my card. No lines, no questions. A lot of people do it. Deck 6, Atrium.

I bring my own hole puncher. Take care of all our cards while waiting to get on the ship. I don't want to stand in line while I'm on vacation. :D

Same here. Actually, on our first Breakaway cruise I organized the meet and greet, so as a small token I had purchased 100 lanyards and brought a hole puncher. I must have given out 30-40 lanyards in the cruise terminal and punched holes in around 75 cards. By the time we were at the meet and greet the next day, I was out of lanyards and I had broken the hole puncher. :eek:
